Recreation

The Yorkshire Dales have so much to offer and Long Ashes Park is perfectly situated for touring and exploring this area known to many as James Herriott and Bronte country.
There are many outdoor pursuits to choose from, including wonderful walks, fishing and riding. You can explore the many historic buildings and picturesque villages set in green fields dotted with sheep and criss-crossed with traditional dry stone walls. If you prefer to take it easy you can just stay on the park and enjoy the surroundings
The area also abounds with natural features : pot holes, caves, waterfalls, tranquil riversides, dramatic limestone scenery and woodland.
The nearby village of Grassington is an internationally acclaimed cultural centre, hosting the annual Grassington Festival each summer, which attracts many celebrities.
