Covid-19
Update

On 10th May, the Government changed their COVID-19 guidance from Stay Home to:

Stay Alert, Control The Virus, Save Lives

Stay Alert
We can all help control the virus if we all stay alert. This means you must:

  • stay at home as much as possible
  • work from home if you can
  • limit contact with other people
  • keep your distance if you go out (2 metres apart where possible)
  • wash your hands regularly
  • do not leave home if you or anyone in your household has symptoms

For further details, please visit www.gov.uk/coronavirus

Holiday Home Owners
The Government have specified that essential travel does not include visits to second homes, camp sites, caravan parks or similar, whether for isolation purposes or holidays. People should remain in their primary residence.

In the update on 10 May, when asked whether people can stay in second homes, the Government have provided the following guidance: Leaving your home - the place you live - to stay at another home for a holiday or other purpose is not allowed. This includes visiting second homes.

We have closed the holiday home area of the park as we are classified as ‘caravan parks/site for commercial uses’. We ask our holiday home owners not to stay in your holiday caravans or lodges at this time and to be sensitive towards the views and needs of the local community and NHS. We are following the Government’s guidance to protect you and wider society.

The Government has advised that if anyone is ‘staying in caravan parks as interim abodes where their primary residence is not available, they may continue to do so’. If there is any reason why you cannot leave your holiday home, please contact the Park Reception on 01756 752261 between 8am and 5pm.

Park Home Residents
We have a duty of care to our park home residents. Therefore our Park Reception will be manned daily between 8am and 5pm.

We are providing a food and takeaway delivery service to our residents, in addition to collecting prescriptions and other essential supplies.

We are also contacting all residents regularly to check on their welfare, and are updating them on the Government’s latest updates and guidelines by post.

Should you have any queries, please don’t hesitate to contact us on 01756 752261 between 8am and 5pm or email info@longashespark.co.uk
