Following the recent government announcement on the easing of Coronavirus restrictions, we’re planning to reduce the COVID-19 restrictions onsite with caution, care and consideration. Our priority is to keep residents, customers, guests and colleagues as safe as possible. Even with the government relaxing restrictions, COVID-19 is still affecting the community; it remains important that we all continue to look after ourselves and those around us.

Whilst the government has lifted several of the legal COVID-19 restrictions, they have issued guidance to businesses that emphasises our responsibility to keep our customers and employees safe.

We appreciate the anticipation for life to get back to ‘normal’, however we feel we must continue with caution. We have decided to maintain our current health and safety procedures and keep most restrictions in place for now. With an increasing infection rate, the pandemic is still a concern and the responsibility to keep one another safe relies upon all of us.

You will find that many of the COVID-19 notices, capacity limits and distancing measures remain in place, this is important in helping us continue to protect against the spread of the disease.

To clarify, we will be continuing with:

Face coverings

We require all customers to continue to wear face coverings whilst in our enclosed public areas, unless exempt, or sat at a table. Our staff will continue to wear masks or serve from behind protective screens.

Sanitise

Hand sanitiser stations are located throughout our facilities and we kindly ask that you use them on entry, exit and throughout your visit.

Social Distancing

We encourage you to be respectful and mindful of others during your visit and please continue to give our team members space.

NHS Test and Trace

The NHS Test and Trace QR code posters will remain in place and we kindly ask that you check in or leave your details with us for every visit to our facility buildings.

Contactless Payments

We ask that you pay by contactless or online, if possible.

Screens

We will retain the use of protective screens at desks and counters to protect both yourselves and our staff.

Cleaning

We will continue to clean and sanitise touch points regularly and use the fogging machines in our public areas. Facilities may have shorter operational hours to continue to accommodate these additional cleaning measures.

Ventilation

Increased ventilation for the flow of air throughout buildings can reduce the risk of the virus spreading indoors. You will notice that windows and doors are left open, please leave them as you find them to encourage air flow through the buildings.

What to do if you are symptomatic or Isolating:

If you have symptoms of COVID-19, if you have tested positive, if you are part of a household isolation or if you have been advised or told to self-isolate you must not visit the Leisure Centre or The Gamekeeper’s Inn. Please phone the NHS on 111.

If you become symptomatic after visiting the site, please notify us immediately.

If you’re isolating and have concerns about your holiday home or a Gamekeeper’s Inn booking, please get in touch with our team.

The leisure club will remain fully open during this time, including the sauna and steam room.

The Gamekeeper’s Inn will open for full service in the bar and restaurant. Drinks will be served from 10am – 11pm and food will be served from 12 – 9pm. Table service will be provided for both food and drinks and we strongly encourage you to book a table in advance.
